Hallo White Cat!

Don't speak German? Post {{User de-0}} on your user page or put de-0 into your Babel box.

Please can you give us some hints on your idea to install a bot here in wikisource? I know that you are not familiar to german, it is no problem when your reply is in english -- Jörgens.Mi Talk 23:44, 15. Mär. 2008 (CET)Beantworten

Template

Bearbeiten

Please don't use templates which are not appropriate. If the botflag will be granted to youy, you can set it otherwise not. And as far as I know from the scriptorium the bot-flag isn't granted to you -- Jörgens.Mi Talk 06:40, 18. Mär. 2008 (CET)Beantworten

What is this claim based on? -- Cat chi? 21:12, 18. Mär. 2008 (CET)Beantworten
A bot page is in the user space that's may be correct. But it is not your userpage. Your userpage ist white cat. And if an admin on our project finds it approptiate to add an information to a tooling site. This is not editing a users page!

What are the reasons for you always asking what is this claim based on. Your question schould be: which rules you have to accept in this communty, what are their standards and haow can I obey them.

You didn't obey to basic rules of the bot policies of the whole communities.

If there is a local community interested in processing bot applications, bots must obtain community approval on the most relevant local discussion page before editing without a bot flag at high speeds or without human supervision.

  1. If a community is interested - not if white cat is interested
  2. bots must obtain community approval on the most relevant local discussion page - not simply saying hello i'm White Cat don't disturb my acting
  3. Asking for a bot flag is quite different to your action at our bureaucrat discussion page.
  4. If you have a busy schedule, simply skip the wikis, which are not interested

Answer my question which rule demands the presence of that notice on my bot userpage. An admin says so is a very very weak argument. Admins are not commanders. I am no soldier. -- Cat chi? 05:02, 21. Mär. 2008 (CET)Beantworten

There isn't any need for. Your nasty behaviour is reason enough, to inform the communtiy that this account claims things which aren't granted to him. So that the communtiy knows that they should have an extry eye on the actions of this account to prevent faulty action as you has proven to do an several other wikis. -- Jörgens.Mi Talk 08:44, 21. Mär. 2008 (CET)Beantworten

I would still appreciate an answer to my question. Which under which policy or guideline are you putting such a notice on my bot userpage?
What 'nasty' behaviour are we talking about? I am the one that has been treated with out-most hostility. If you would like to see my bot in action see Wikipedia:en:Special:Contributions/Computer.
Are you aware that template:bot is not used exclusively to mark bot-flagged bots? It is a warning that the account in question is a bot account. What made you think any other way?

Warning

Bearbeiten

We have here a small community and a need of consensus regarding bot actions. If you cannot understand German it's better not to use your bot in this wiki. Joergens is speaking for all (or at least most of us). We cannot tolerate your quarrelsome behaviour. We don't need your help, thanks --FrobenChristoph 10:45, 21. Mär. 2008 (CET)Beantworten

I am putting up with a serious amount of hostility towards me on this wiki. Please do not blame the actions of others on me. I am not in quarrel with anybody. Unless I am being accused of violating a policy or guideline or etc, this warning is without merit. -- Cat chi? 15:07, 3. Apr. 2008 (CEST)Beantworten

Double redirecting

Bearbeiten

Your fixing of the double redirect was partliy wrong. Because the reason was a mistyped title the page schould have ben marked for deletion. This is just an information, no complaint. I think you are not able to detect this with a bot. -- Jörgens.Mi Talk 14:13, 21. Mär. 2008 (CET)Beantworten

Redirects on all wikis are commonly used on typos (mistyped text). This is generally considered good practice. Remember the bot complies with directives by mediawiki at Special:Doubleredirects. Any unneeded redirect can be independently nominated for deletion just like in this case. :) -- Cat chi? 15:05, 3. Apr. 2008 (CEST)Beantworten
Hi, just saw this on RC, and it might be a misunderstanding. On German Wikipedia, "typo redirects" are not wanted and are (usually) deleted. This is a project-specific decision, like German Wikipedia disallowing fair use images. I think the same rule (about typo redirects) is used in this project. That pretty much makes bot-based double redirect fixing impossible. --Magnus Manske 15:25, 3. Apr. 2008 (CEST)Beantworten
Typo redirects are not used commonly. So, the cs.wiki is still discussing this since three years, but the prevailing oppinion is NO such redirects. The cs.source has no typo redirects at all. Then, to make them or not is a decision of the domain.
But I do not think this is the point, White Cat. After some people thought that you learn something and will wellcome the offered cooperation (see m:Talk:Requests for comments/-jkb-), it seems, that you did not learn even how to speak with people here. I think your style is very offensive. You should also accept what BrigitteSB told you on en.source. Your sollution is no sollution. Sorry. I hoped something else. -jkb- 20:27, 3.
